Message from the President of the
Ontario Police Memorial Foundation

February 14, 2025
As we approach the 2025 Ontario Police Memorial Foundation Ceremony of Remembrance, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the importance of this occasion and invite you to join us in honouring the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their communities.
The Ontario Police Memorial stands as a symbol of remembrance, ensuring that the courageous officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty are never forgotten. Every year, we come together as a community to pay tribute to these heroes, offering our respect, gratitude, and support to their families, friends, and colleagues.
This year, the Ceremony of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Queen’s Park in Toronto. We invite all members of the public to join us in this solemn occasion as we remember the fallen officers who have served with dedication and honour. The ceremony is an opportunity to express our collective appreciation for their sacrifice and reaffirm our commitment to supporting those who serve and protect our communities.
The Memorial is not only a place of reflection, but a powerful reminder of the importance of law enforcement in maintaining the safety and well-being of our society. As we gather in May, we will pay tribute to those who gave everything for the safety of others.
I encourage you to mark your calendars and join us on this important day of remembrance. Together, we will ensure that their legacy lives on, and that their families continue to feel the support of a grateful public.
Thank you for your continued support of the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation. We look forward to seeing you at the Ceremony of Remembrance on May 4, 2025, as we honour and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to Ontario.
Thank you,

Colin Woods
