DETAILS: On Dec. 27, 1980 Cst. Peazel was directing traffic when he was struck by a vehicle injuring his left leg. The injuries he sustained were long lasting, suffering for over eight years. A blood clot from his injured leg caused his death on January 25, 1988.

DETAILS: While answering a possible riot call and enroute to Niagara Falls from Fort Erie, Constable DeSimone's cruiser was in a collision with a flatbed truck. He was proceeding westerly over the highrise bridge on the Queen Elizabeth Way, when the cruiser collided with the rear of the truck which was stopped. The driver was assisting another motorist from a previous accident. Constable DeSimone died in the accident. There were no charges laid.
